TDA events
Over the last two months the TDA events team have been very busy organising and running the annual flagship Train to Teach events which took place throughout February and March in Manchester, London and Birmingham. This year numbers exceeded expectations with our team of consultants seeing over 9,000 visitors over all three events, a significant increase on last years numbers.
Please visit the new Train to Teach website for further details on all three events:
As the flagship activity now comes to an end the focus turns towards the Train to Teach ‘lite’ event in Stansted on the 27th March. All our Train to Teach events provide the perfect opportunity for any one interested in a career in teaching to get tailored guidance on the routes into teaching, meet local teacher training providers and talk with experienced teachers.
The undergraduate activity remains a key priority, as we approach the summer term the on-campus activity warms up with the team of consultants attending undergraduate fairs across the UK and Wales.
Our interactive activity continues with 'live' Q&A events taking place every fortnight. For more information visit: www.teach.gov.uk/onlineevents. Sessions range from subject specific forums to more generic topics such as 'Making a successful ITT application' and 'Routes into teaching'.
As the team continue to concentrate their resources on speaking to people who are eligible to commence teacher training over the coming year, they are unable to visit schools on a one to one basis. However, they are happy to forward presentations and literature to any school that requests it.
Details of the event programme can be found at teach.gov.uk where you can search by region.
